Our Summer Day Camp on Lake Vera near Nevada City, California offers an action-packed outdoor adventure for campers who want to experience the magic of summer camp while returning home each evening. Camp days are filled with exploration, creativity, and camaraderie.
Activities Include:
Waterfront Fun – Swimming, canoeing, and kayaking on Lake Vera.
Creative Expression – Arts & crafts, storytelling, music, and group skits.
Sports & Team Challenges – Archery, field games, and camp-wide competitions.
Camp Traditions – Singalongs, community-building activities, and themed camp days.

At Camp Gold Hollow, we believe summer camp is a place where young people connect to the outdoors, to others, and to themselves. On our beautiful lake in the pine forests of the Sierras, our summer camp programs are designed to foster self-discovery, community, and a deep appreciation for nature. Here kids build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and create unforgettable memories.
Because every child deserves to experience camp, regardless of financial circumstances, we offer full and partial camperships to help make camp affordable for families.
We also provide scheduling options that extend camp hours to best fit into their daily schedule.
Camp Dates:
Session 1: July 28 – August 1
Session 2: August 4 – August 8
Pricing:
Cost: $449 per session ($50 deposit with flexible payments)
Discounts Available: $24 off for Early Bird (register by April 1st), siblings, and multi-week registrations.
Day Camp Pricing Includes:
Monday – Friday 9:30AM – 4:30PM
Campers bring a sack lunch, we provide an afternoon snack.
Camp T-Shirt
Extended Day Option: +$100 per session, offering morning or afternoon care with additional activities and meals. (+$200 for both AM and PM.)
AM Extended Day option adds an hour and a half more camp each morning from 8:00AM to 9:30AM and includes breakfast.
PM Extended Day option adds an hour and a half more camp each evening from 4:30PM to 6:00PM and includes a light dinner / heavy snack.
Day Camp Late Pick-Up Policy
We understand that sometimes life happens, and delays are unavoidable. We also want to ensure every camper ends their day on a high note, rather than waiting around the pick-up zone. That’s why we offer Extended Day options for families who need extra flexibility (or for campers who just can’t get enough of camp!)
If you arrive outside of standard pick-up times, we’ll assist you in upgrading to our Extended Day program so your camper can continue having fun while you drive safely and stress-free.
Nobody likes late fees – which is why we take a proactive approach rather than charging late fees by the minute.
Extended Day is an affordable and convenient option. The weekly add-on of $100 amounts to about $6/hour for childcare, and we feed them. That’s a steal.

Summer Camp Cancellation Policy:
• Rescheduling Credit: If your child gets sick or you need to reschedule for any reason, we’ll provide a full credit for another session or next season.
• Full Refund (minus deposit): Available up to three weeks before your camper’s session.
• Between 2-3 weeks from your start of camp, we can offer a 50% refund of all fees paid.
• Starting 2 weeks before camp refunds are offered at 25% of all fees paid.
• We cannot provide refunds once camp has started.
