Summer Dishie Positions – July 14-20, 2024
Youth Ages: 14-17
Do you have an industrious teen that would like to work their way to camp? Dishies work as a team
after each meal to clean the camp dishes. Dishes are rinsed, run through the dishwasher and then put
away on the shelves. This typically takes 1-1 ½ hours. There will be two positions available. Dishies will
be part of a cabin group and get to participate in all of the fun camp activities after their task is
completed. Dishies will receive camp for free, get valuable work experience, receive 40 hours of
volunteer hours and participate in camp as well. Interested teens should complete an application and
will need to interview with the Director. Two Dishies will be chosen from the applications received. The
first group of applicants will be considered on March 15th. If the positions are not filled, applications
will be reviewed on the first of each month and interviews given until the positions are filled.
Applications will be available on February 15, 2024.

Registration Opens February 1 2024

CIT Program, July 13-26, 2024 + May 17-19: Youth ages 15-17 – (14 days, 13 nights)

CITs (Counselors-in-Training) are the heart of camp. This leadership-based program provides opportunities for our teen campers to receive onsite training to develop their skills in camp management and youth development. We have a highly skilled CIT counselor dedicated to spending time working with this group of teens to make camp THRIVE!

This year we will be having a special weekend of training and fun where registered CIT’s will have camp
all to themselves. The Camp Director and CIT Director will be overseeing the weekend where we will be
getting to know each other, developing leadership skills and getting an introduction to what they can
expect when being a CIT at summer camp. This weekend will include meals, supervision, training and
FUN! CIT’s will arrive Friday evening and depart Sunday afternoon, May 17-19.
Contact: Patty “Penguin” McCulley, Camp Director, [email protected]

To apply for a position, the applicant must complete the online registration, complete CIT application, and participate in a pre-camp Zoom interview.

A limited number of CIT spaces are available–please register early. Interviews will be scheduled and CITs accepted as applications are received. All CITs are expected to:

  • Attend training May 17-19
  • Provide own transportation to arrive at camp by noon on July 13
  • Participate in all CIT unit sessions and activities
  • Help supervise daily tasks and activities with your assigned camper group
  • Help plan and implement the end-of-session All-Camp Event
  • Be a junior counselor/program assistant for a camper group during the week of Day Camp
  • Opportunity to earn 40 hours of community service

Note: There is no early bird registration discount for the CIT program and it is a leadership program that requires application, interviews, and a selection process. It is recommended that only the registration deposit be paid until the camper has been notified of acceptance into the program, at which time, the balance of the camp registration can be paid.

NOTE: All registration paperwork must be completed for your camper’s spot to be confirmed.
